On the reclaimed land of West Kowloon, M+ stands as a horizontal base topped by a glass tower — an architectural gesture conceived by Herzog & de Meuron to embody both rootedness and openness. The museum, devoted to 20th- and 21st-century art, design and the moving image, arranges its galleries around a central square, where natural light and views of Victoria Harbour combine with the architecture itself into a work to be explored.
